PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

The term ‘personal information’ is equivalent to the term ‘personal data’ (used in the European Union’s (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR)), as well as ‘your information’, or ‘your data’. We process your personal data for administering the specific purpose(s), for which you gave us your personal data. By filling out and submitting a donate form, a contact form, or any other form on our website, you give us your explicit consent to process your data for such purpose(s).
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT, AND HOW WE USE IT
Providing your personal information to us is voluntary by you. We do not collect information about you from other sources. Collecting such information can take place in one or more of these instances:
  • When you make a donation on our site: Email address, and (depending on the type and amount of donation) your name
  • When you sign up to receive our email newsletter: Email address
  • When you submit a contact form: Your name, email address, and your message
  • When you initiate communication with us regarding your GDPR data protection rights
(see forthcoming section, titled “ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR USERS IN COUNTRIES WHERE THE GDPR IS IN EFFECT”)
(1) When You Make a Donation on Our Website
When you fill out the donate form, you provide your full name and email address. We will use your information only for administering your donation. If you selected ”YES“ on the donate page to have your name pubished on this site (acknowledging that you are a donor), we may publish you name accordingly; however, we will not publish any of your contact information. Furthermore, only authorized person(s) with the obligation to handle your data for its intended purpose have access to your data. From time to time, we may send you emails (such as emails with information) which, in our judgement, may be of interest to you. However, you may opt out of receiving such emails by following the link in the footer of any such email you have received from us.
Filling out and submitting the donate form does not establish you as a customer.
Your donation transaction is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Depending on your location, you may have options for different payment methods to use, such as credit‑ or debit card, SEPA, or other methods. On the checkout page, Stripe will automatically present the payment methods that are available to you. All personal information you submit on the checkout page is handled and transmitted by Stripe. Of all that information, GlobeMentum will have access only to your name, but will not have access to your credit card information, or address information at any point before, during, or after the transaction. Therefore, we do not (and would not be able to) store or view any such information.
(2) When You Sign Up for Our Email Newsletter
When you enter your email address in a signup form, and submit that form, we collect your email address to enable us to deliver information to you that we distribute through our newsletter(s). On occassion, we may also send you informational or marketing emails that we believe might be of interest to you, but we will not inundate you with unrelated emails. You may unsubscribe from our email newsletter(s) by following the link in the footer of any of those emails.
(3) When You Submit a Contact Form
When you submit a contact form on our website, it does not establish you as a customer or donor. We collect your name in order for us to know who is communicating with us; as well as information that is necessary for us to respond to your inquiry appropriately (email address, and your message). If you don’t feel comfortable submitting any part of the information, do not submit the form. Also, do not submit any additional personal information (such as ID numbers, or other sensitive information) that the form doesn’t require.
UNSOLICITED PERSONAL INFORMATION
Please do not send us any personal or personally identifiable information in any communication with us that the corresponding form, or we, do not require for a specific purpose; or information or document that you wish to retain for the future. We will not send back any information or document, and we will not be liable for any information you send to us regardless of whether we have read such information in full, or in part, or not at all. We will not be responsible, and can not be held liable, for the possession or misuse of such information. If you submit such information, we may permanently delete or destroy your complete submission or communication at our own discretion; and therefore, we do not guarantee for you to receive a response.
WILLINGLY PROVIDING INFORMATION
If a form on our website requires certain information that you do not want to provide, do not fill out and submit that form. In such case, the corresponding service will be unavailable to you. By submitting a form, you explicitely express your willingness to submitting the information that the form requires, and you consent to all terms and policies relevant to your form submission.
